Shooting is very satisfying, the cars are fantastic simulations, and the game - particularly the cutscenes - looks amazing. Vehicles in Mafia II are authentic to their time period. The variation adds an element of realism to the vibrant look of Empire. If not for the cars and the historical reality of the mafia during this time period, you could easily replace the skin of the city, the cars, and the clothes to a modern setting, and you wouldn.
